Rangers defeated Hibernian 2-0 at Ibrox in the first leg of the Premiership play-off semi-final on Wednesday night.
Stuart McCall’s men went ahead just before half-time when Haris Vuckic played in Ricky Foster and his cross was converted by Nicky Clark.
Kenny Miller doubled Rangers’ lead with a composed finish beyond Mark Oxley after 63 minutes and the home side kept Hibs at bay thereafter.
The return match goes ahead at Easter Road on Saturday, live on BT Sport at 12 noon, with the winners up against Motherwell in the final on May 28 and 31.
