James Tavernier converted an early penalty and Carlos Pena added the second goal before the break. Full-back Tavernier struck again with 20 minutes left and the Dons had Ryan Christie sent off in the closing minutes.

Motherwell and Celtic drew 1-1 at Fir Park as the Steelmen came close to ending the Hoops' long unbeaten domestic run. Well went ahead 12 minutes from time through a Mikael Lustig own goal but Scott Sinclair levelled from the penalty spot with a couple of minutes left.
