Falkirk stay second following their 1-0 victory against bottom club Alloa Athletic at the Indodrill Stadium, where John Baird struck after 15 minutes.

Third-placed Hibernian defeated Raith Rovers 1-0 at Easter Road thanks to a Jason Cummings goal early in the second half. Rovers had Grant Anderson sent off in stoppage time but they remain in the play-off places.

St Mirren beat Morton 1-0 at Cappielow in the Renfrewshire derby to move up to seventh in the table. Lawrence Shankland got the only goal towards the end of the first half.

Derek Lyle and Iain Russell scored in the second half as Queen of the South won 2-0 at Livingston to move to within two points of the top four.
