Rangers part company with Warburton

Rangers have announced that they have parted company with manager Mark Warburton and his assistant David Weir.

Rangers have announced that they have parted company with manager Mark Warburton and his assistant David Weir.

The former Brentford boss took over in the summer of 2015 and led the Light Blues back to the Ladbrokes Premiership, where they are currently third in the table.

The club issued a statement on Friday night saying they had accepted the resignations of Warburton, Weir and head of recruitment Frank McParland.

U20 coach Graeme Murty will take the team for Sunday's Scottish Cup fifth-round tie with Morton against Ibrox.
