Rangers have completed the signings of Martyn Waghorn and James Tavernier on three-year deals from Wigan Athletic.
Waghorn, 25, is a striker who can count Sunderland and Leicester City among his former clubs while Tavernier is a 23-year-old right-back, who started out at Newcastle and spent time on loan at Bristol City last season.
Waghorn told the club website: "When I sat down with them (manager Mark Warburton and assistant David Weir) and they got across their ideas, and how they want to play, it was brilliant.
“It’s exactly how I want to play and how I see my football going. It was a no-brainer. I am fortunate I can play in a number of positions - as the main striker or out wide, so I’m versatile.”
Tavernier added: “Having the ball at my feet is the best thing and playing out from the back will be a huge thing for me this season and it will suit me well.
“I am hoping to get more goals here than I have scored already in my career and hopefully get a full season of football, score a lot more and progress from there.”
