Rangers beat Peterhead 4-0 in front of a Hampden Park crowd of 48,133 on Sunday to win the Petrofac Training Cup.

Mark Warburton’s side went ahead after 17 minutes when on-loan St Johnstone defender Ally Gilchrist turned Kenny Miller's cross into his own net.

Full-back James Tavernier added the second with a stunning strike five minutes before the break but the Blue Toon almost pulled one back when a Scott Ross header was cleared off the line.

The Ibrox side scored the third from an Andy Halliday penalty in 85 minutes and Miller rounded things off when he struck from close range in the last minute.
