Inverness Caledonian Thistle have named John Robertson as their new manager following the recent departure of Richie Foran.
The 52-year-old former Hearts, Ross County, Livingston, Derry City and East Fife boss guided Caley Thistle into the top flight in his first spell in charge between 2002 and 2004.
He is now back at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium as the Highland club seek an immediate return to the Ladbrokes Premiership after being relegated in May.
ICT chairman Willie Finlayson told the club website: “We had an excellent interview process with some strong candidates but John emerged as our unanimous choice. We were hugely impressed with his tremendous drive, determination, communication and motivational skills.
“He clearly has a great knowledge of the game in Scotland and is both well respected and connected. We firmly believe he is the right man to lead us back into the Premier League.”
