Ross agrees new deal with Alloa

Alloa Athletic have announced that manager Jack Ross has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club for 2016/17.

Alloa Athletic have announced that manager Jack Ross has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club for 2016/17.

The 39-year-old, who was No 2 at Dumbarton before a coaching stint at Hearts, took over from Danny Lennon in December but was unable to keep the Wasps in the Ladbrokes Championship.

Chairman Mike Mulraney told the Alloa website: "The club always wanted Jack to stay and build on the good foundations he has already started to build at the club.

“Next season will be another huge challenge - to look to return the club back to challenging at the right end of the league and looking to regain promotion as soon as possible.”
