Ross County clinched the SPFL Development League title on Thursday evening after closest-challengers Hamilton drew 0-0 with Celtic.
An Accies win over the reigning champions in front of a 1,270 crowd at the SuperSeal Stadium would have seen them leapfrog the Staggies on goal difference in what was the final fixture of 2016/17 but it ended all square.
That result means Ross County finish the campaign two points clear of Hamilton, with Celtic in third place and Hibernian fourth.
Stuart Kettlewell's side had the chance to win the title at the Global Energy Stadium on Monday evening, only to lose 2-1 to Hamilton, but can now celebrate an impressive success.
Ross County, whose U20 top scorer is Greg Morrison, are likely to be presented with the trophy at their final Ladbrokes Premiership home game of the season - ironically against Accies - on Tuesday May 16, kick-off 7.45pm.
