Hibernian took the lead through Jason Cummings after just 12 seconds against Berwick Rangers at Shielfield but Michael McKenna equalised for John Coughlin's team as it ended 1-1.

Ross County were 3-1 winners against Hungarian side FC Paksi in Budapest.

Cowdenbeath enjoyed a good 3-1 victory over Motherwell at Central Park, Inverness CT drew 1-1 at Highland League Brora and Livingston and Morton drew 2-2 at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Dunfermline Athletic defeated Clyde 1-0 at Broadwood while Peterhead won 2-0 away to Montrose and Forfar Athletic drew 1-1 with Dundee United at Station Park.

East Fife beat SPFL newcomers Edinburgh City 2-0 at Bayview and Brechin City saw off a Hearts XI 3-0 at Glebe Park.

Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle played out a 0-0 draw at Stark's Park and it was also goalless between Lowland League Spartans and Airdrieonians at Ainslie Park. Arbroath drew 2-2 with Highland League Turriff United at Gayfield.
