Albion Rovers missed out on striker Ritchie Barr who has re-joined Irvine Meadow after being put up for transfer by junior side Pollok. Coatbridge boss James Ward had enquired about the 32 year old after Chris Dallas was ruled out for the season however he ended his interest when he learned that Barr was keen to return to Ayrshire.
Ward said: “I decided to stick with what we have for the rest of the season.”
The Newlandsfield side have quickly added a replacement with former Partick Thistle, Ross County, Clyde and Arbroath winger Adam Strachan joining them.
