A late double from John Sutton earned St Mirren a 2-1 win over Ayr United in Sunday's IRN-BRU Cup quarter-final at the Paisley 2021 Stadium.
Andy O'Connell gave Ayr the lead midway through the second half but Sutton struck to send Jack Ross' side into Monday afternoon's semi-final draw.
In the day's other game, Welsh champions The New Saints saw off Livingston 3-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena thanks to goals from Robbie Parry, Steven Saunders and Scott Quigley.
