St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has signed 27-year-old striker Graham Cummins on a one-year deal from Exeter City.
The Irishman had spells with Cobh Ramblers, Waterford United and Cork City before joining Preston North End in 2012.
Wright told the club website: "I know quite a bit about him and he trained with us towards the end of the season. He scored a lot of goals for Cork City before a move to Preston North End but he didn’t play as much as he would have liked there."
Meanwhile, defender Gary Miller and James McFadden are to leave the Perth club after it was confirmed they would not be offered new deals for 2015/16.
Wright added: "Gary has been an important member of the squad but, with Joe Shaughnessy and Brad McKay, coming in I feel it’s time to freshen things up at the back. Faddy came in at an important time and his experience has been a huge help to us both on and off the park.”
