St Mirren hit back to draw 1-1 with Raith Rovers at Stark's Park in the Ladbrokes Championship on Tuesday night.
Mark Stewart gave Ray McKinnon's men the lead shortly before half-time and they looked set to move above Morton and into the play-off places until Stevie Mallan struck with two minutes left to earn Saints a vital point.
The draw was enough to see Ian Murray's team leapfrog Livingston into seventh place.
