Hibernian booked their place in Monday afternoon's League Cup second-round draw with a 3-0 win over Montrose at Easter Road on Saturday.
Scott Martin scored his first goal for the Edinburgh club and Scott Allan and Jason Cummings struck in the second half for Alan Stubbs' side.
Queen of the South beat Annan 4-3 after extra time in a dramatic game at Galabank. Peter Weatherson scored twice and Smart Osadolor was also on target for the hosts, who had Rabin Omar and Steven Black sent off in extra time. Ryan Conroy had QOS ahead at half-time but they needed a last-gasp leveller from Dale Hilson after Derek Lyle had earlier made it 2-2. Lyle had the final say with the winner in 100 minutes.
Berwick Rangers stormed back from two goals down to cause an upset against Alloa with a 3-2 extra-time victory at Shielfield. Iain Flannigan scored a first-half double for the Wasps but Darren Lavery and David Morris levelled matters and David Banjo grabbed the winner.
East Fife also sprang a surprise, knocking out Dumbarton 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Bayview. Nathan Austin's opener was cancelled out by Kevin Cawley and extra time failed to produce a winner.
Dunfermline cruised to a 5-1 win over Cowdenbeath at East End Park, with all the goals coming in the second half. Faissal El Bakhtaoui and Shaun Byrne both scored twice and Ryan Wallace converted a penalty after keeper Michael Andrews had been sent off. Declan Hughes claimed a consolation.
Morton ran riot in the second half at Cappielow to beat Elgin City 5-0 with goals from Stefan McCluskey, Denny Johnstone, Jon Scullion (2) and Ross Forbes (penalty).
Raith Rovers were 3-0 winners against Albion Rovers at Stark's Park, with goals from Lewis Vaughan (penalty), Kyle Benedictus and Rory McKeown.

Forfar were 2-0 winners against Queen's Park at Hampden, where Derek Young and Danny Denholm netted first-half goals.
Jordan White struck in extra time as Livingston overcame Clyde 1-0 at Almondvale while Jordan Morton was the matchwinner as Airdrieonians edged out Stirling Albion 1-0 at Forthbank.
A Craig Malcolm double earned Stranraer a 2-0 success against Stenhousemuir at Stair Park.
