Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has been voted Manager of the Year by the Scottish Football Writers’ Association.
The 42-year-old, who took over from Craig Brown a year ago, led the Dons to their first silverware in 19 years when they beat Inverness Caley Thistle on penalties to lift the League Cup in March.
The Pittodrie club secured a place in next season’s Europa League qualifiers at the weekend despite losing to Celtic and are one point ahead of Motherwell in the race for runners-up spot in the Scottish Premiership.
McInnes, who has also been in charge of St Johnstone and Bristol City, was last weekend named PFA Scotland Manager of the Year by his colleagues and now has the SFWA award to go with it.
