Aberdeen defender Joe Shaughnessy has agreed a two-year deal with St Johnstone that will see him move to McDiarmid Park in the summer.
The 22-year-old Irishman has been at Pittodrie since 2009 but has not featured much this season and spent time on loan at Falkirk earlier in the campaign.
Saints boss Tommy Wright told the club website: "We are pleased to get him because he is a player we have been watching for some time. He's at the right age and has good experience already of playing in the Scottish Premiership."
Shaughnessy added: "It was an attractive option for me because St Johnstone are a team that have consistently finished in the top six and recently won the Scottish Cup."
Meanwhile, midfielder Liam Caddis has signed a new one-year deal for season 2015/16.
