Dean Shiels grabbed a hat-trick for Ally McCoist's men, with David Templeton also on target for the League 1 leaders.
The draw for the last eight takes place after Sunday's Dundee United v St Mirren tie, which kicks off at 12 noon and is live on Sky Sports 2.
