Ayr United have signed former Motherwell and Celtic midfielder Paul Slane.
The 22-year-old, who has also had spells with MK Dons and Partick Thistle, had already featured as a trialist for the League 1 leaders and has now put pen to paper ahead of Saturday’s home match with bottom club Airdrieonians.
Boss Mark Roberts told the club website: "We are absolutely delighted that Paul has signed. He was never really here on trial as such, as I know the ability he has - we just had to see where he was fitness-wise.
"He has fitted into the squad seamlessly and has already shown the quality he has in training and in the games he has played so far."
