Kilmarnock boss Gary Locke has made former Rangers defender Steven Smith his fifth signing of the summer.
The 29-year-old has penned a three-year deal at Rugby Park and joins fellow new boys Scott Robinson (Hearts), Jamie MacDonald (Falkirk), Kallum Higginbotham (Partick Thistle) and Kris Boyd (Rangers) at the Ayrshire club.
Smith can count Aberdeen, Preston, Norwich City and Portland Timbers among his former clubs and Locke believes the left-back will be a big asset for Killie.
He said: "Lots of clubs were after Stevie and I am delighted we have been the one to sign him. He has bags of experience, comes from a great pedigree and fills a problem position for us."
