Heart of Midlothian have signed defender Michael Smith from Peterborough United on a two-year deal for a nominal fee.
The 28-year-old was previously with Ballymena United and Bristol Rovers and has been capped for Northern Ireland.
He told the Hearts website: "As soon as I got here it was clear this is a massive club - the facilities, the stadium, the manager; it all seems like a good fit for me."
Tynecastle boss Ian Cathro has also brought in Manchester City wing-back Ashley Smith-Brown on a season-long loan deal. The 21-year-old spent 2016/17 on loan at NAC Breda in Holland.
