Paul Smith has stepped down from his post as assistant manager at Raith Rovers due to work commitments.
The former Berwick boss had been No 2 to Grant Murray but his last match in the dug-out was Saturday’s 3-1 win over Cowdenbeath at Central Park.
He told the club website: “The move to being a completely full-time operation is undoubtedly the correct path for this club. However, it has meant that, in my part-time role, some weeks I can go from Saturday to Saturday without seeing the first-team players.
“My personal view is that I cannot therefore make as full a contribution to the team as I would like to. It has been a very difficult decision but I know that it’s the right one for the football club and the right one for myself.”
Academy Director Hugh McCann has also decided to resign rather than transfer to a role within the new Fife Elite Regional Academy.
