What is the best goal you have ever scored?
That was for Kilmarnock against Celtic when we raced into a three-goal lead, with the game ending 3-3. I anticipated Charlie Mulgrew was going to be short with a passback and ran on to it before dinking the ball over Fraser Forster. When you consider Fraser is 6ft 7” that was a pretty good finish!

What is the best game you have played in?
The League Cup Final of 2012 when Kilmarnock defeated Celtic 1-0 at Hampden. The semi-final with Ayr is a close second as it was a huge relief to get through in that game. However, beating Celtic at the National Stadium and being the captain was a great experience.

What is your favourite away ground?
I always enjoyed playing at Tynecastle against Hearts. There was usually a big crowd there, a great atmosphere and Kilmarnock had a decent record. Queens played there recently and it was another great occasion where we played really well before losing.

What is your favourite other sport?
Golf, although I cannot get to play as often as I would like. When I was a player I did not play too often as it can have an impact on your legs. I was hoping that when I became a manager I could use golf as a way to switch off but I have not been able to find the time yet.

Which player in the world would you like to have played with?
That has to be Lionel Messi. He shades it ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo as Ronaldo would not get a game on the left hand side of the pitch ahead of Iain 'Beany' Russell!

What is your favourite pre-match meal?
It was chicken and pasta when I was a player. Now I am eating more on the go so it is pancakes and jam or a bagel.

What is your favourite music?
I tend just to listen to whatever comes on the radio when I am going to work. I am not that big a music fan but I know all the words to Frozen and One Direction songs from the times my two daughters are in the car.

Who is the biggest moaner that you played with?
Alexei Eremenko liked a good moan if you did not give him the ball when we are at Kilmarnock and Gus MacPherson and Kevin McGowne were always at it when I was younger.

Who was your most skilful team-mate?
Alexei gets another mention here however it has to Mehdi Taouil. The Moroccan was something else during our time together at Kilmarnock.

Who was your worst dressed team-mate?
Garry Hay, which is maybe a bit harsh as we were team-mates for a long time, but I saw more bad gear on him than anyone else!

Who was the best trainer?
Craig Bryson and Liam Kelly were both really hard working at Kilmarnock.

Who was the best dancer?
That has to go to one of the boys at Queen of the South - Michael Paton - he has all the dance moves!
