Craig Fowler selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Stirling Albion forward Darren Smith the star man for his four-minute hat-trick against Montrose.

GK - Jamie MacDonald (Kilmarnock)
The Killie keeper continued his impressive form this season with a couple of fine stops in the 0-0 draw at Ibrox. He denied Lee Wallace in the first half with a point-blank block, then tipped a long-range Andy Halliday effort wide of the post.

DR - Callum Paterson (Hearts)
The crossing from the Hearts full-back led to both his side's first-half goals in their Scottish Cup tie with Hibs, and nobody looked more unhappy at full-time after the visitors fought back.

DC - Paul Hanlon (Hibernian)
Not only did Hanlon net the 91st-minute equaliser that completed an impressive comeback for Hibs, but the centre-back put in a terrific performance throughout the game.

DC - Darren Barr (Dumbarton)
The former Falkirk and Hearts centre-back played a starring role as the Sons held Dundee to a goalless draw in the Scottish Cup, helping to keep his side in the hat and the possibility of a shock when the two sides meet again on February 23.

DL - Carl Tremarco (Inverness CT)
Throughout the 2-1 win over Motherwell at Fir Park, he supported well from left-back, including helping to set up the opening goal for the Scottish Cup holders.

MR - Stefan McCluskey (Morton)
The winger netted a hat-trick as Morton defeated Annan Athletic to advance to the next round. The Ton's 4-1 victory was impressive when you consider that Hamilton were humbled at Galabank in the previous round.

MC - Marvin Bartley (Hibernian)
The defensive midfielder put in the perfect spoiler's performance, mopping up brilliantly in front of the back four. Hearts looked to exploit space in behind as Hibs threw men forward. The reason they got little joy was Bartley's anticipation as he cut off potential attacks time and again.

MC - Andy Geggan (Dunfermline Athletic)
Captain Geggan netted twice in Dunfermline's 3-0 victory at Stenhousemuir. After losing in a home match with Airdrie last week, this was an important win as the Pars increased their lead at the top of the Ladbrokes League 1 table to eight points.

ML - Jonny Hayes (Aberdeen)
The wide man showed great energy throughout Aberdeen's 4-3 win at St Johnstone, which moved the Dons joint-top of the Ladbrokes Premiership, behind Celtic on goal difference.

AMC - Darren Smith (Stirling Albion)
Last night Stirling Albion slammed seven goals past Montrose, with Darren Smith netting three times either side of the interval. Not only that, it was Smith's second treble of the season against the Angus club. He scored after a great solo run, headed home from close range and bagged a top-corner strike from outside the area. This week's star man.

FC - Adam Rooney (Aberdeen)
Aberdeen's leading scorer netted twice in the 4-3 win at McDiarmid Park. The only other forward to net twice this past weekend was Brian Graham of Ross County but he did it against non-league opponents in Linlithgow Rose, so Rooney gets the nod.
