Craig Fowler selects his latest SPFL Team of the Week, with St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson the star man for his performance at Tynecastle.

GK - Connor Ripley (Motherwell)
The on-loan shot-stopper made two fantastic saves at 1-0 to keep Motherwell in the game. The hosts would later overturn the deficit with two goals in as many minutes to defeat Aberdeen.

DC - Danny Devine (Inverness CT)
Saturday could scarcely have gone better for Inverness, who desperately needed a victory at the home of their Highland rivals. Not only did they secure one, they did so in emphatic fashion, winning 3-0. Devine was the rock at the heart of the back four.

DC - Steven Anderson (St Johnstone)
St Johnstone haven’t been their usual selves in defence this season but the 3-0 win over Hearts marked a return to their battling, resolute ways. Anderson marshalled a back-line that barely looked fazed by the heavily-fancied hosts.

DC - Craig Barr (Raith Rovers)
Raith are looking strong for the final play-off position in the Ladbrokes Championship after seeing off Hibernian on Saturday evening. The 2-1 victory was aided by a colossal performance from Barr, who made his presence known in both penalty areas.

MR - Alex Harris (Queen of the South)
Queen of the South secured one of two 6-0 victories in the SPFL at the weekend when they hammered Dumbarton at Palmerston. Harris chipped in with two of the goals, while his direct running gave the visitors all sorts of problems.

MC - Liam Polworth (Inverness CT)
The young midfielder was another stand-out performer in ICT’s win at Ross County. He netted the opening goal and played a starring role in the middle of the park to ensure a comfortable win.

MC - Murray Davidson (St Johnstone)
The midfielder was immense in St Johnstone’s victory over Hearts. Not only did he net the opening two goals, he dominated his counterparts in the Hearts midfield, using his physical superiority to drive Saints forward time and again. This week’s star man.

ML - Myles Hippolyte (Falkirk)
Substitutes very rarely make it into Team of the Week, but then subs rarely have the impact that Hippolyte did against Rangers. The visitors were coasting to victory before his introduction, which completely sparked Falkirk into life as they rallied for an improbable 3-2 win.

FC - Lawrence Shankland (St Mirren)
The on-loan Aberdeen forward netted two terrific goals in St Mirren’s 3-2 win at Livingston. The result moved Saints 10 points clear of Livi, who occupy the relegation play-off spot.

FC - Mark McGuigan (Stranraer)
Stranraer went from possible relegation candidates a couple of months ago to currently sitting in the play-offs. They’ve lost only once in their last 10 games and defeated Stenhousemuir 3-1 on Saturday, with McGuigan netting a brace amid a man-of-the-match performance.

FC - Kevin Smith (East Fife)
The Bayview captain scored one and assisted three more as the Ladbrokes League 2 leaders hammered Stirling Albion 6-0 at Forthbank to go three points clear at the top.
