Recently-appointed St Mirren boss Ian Murray has made Dumbarton midfielder Scott Agnew his first signing since taking over from Gary Teale.
The 27-year-old was with Rangers as a youngster and played for Hamilton Accies, Alloa, Ayr United and Stranraer before joining the Sons in 2011.
He told the St Mirren website: "I had a few offers from other Championship clubs, both full-time and part-time, but the possibility of coming to St Mirren with the facilities the club have, and to follow my old gaffer to Paisley, was one I couldn’t refuse.”
