Hibernian midfielder Sam Stanton has signed a new contract that will keep him at Easter Road until 2018.
The 19-year-old came through the club's youth system and made his first start in January of this year.
He told the Hibs website: "It was a really easy decision for me to make. There is a lot to look forward to and I'm pleased to be on board for the next four years."
Boss Terry Butcher said: "When I first arrived here, Sam wasn't part of the first-team squad but now he is probably one of the first names on the team sheet - that underlines the progress he has made in a short space of time."
Meanwhile, Hibernian striker Paul Heffernan has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a groin injury he suffered in the warm-up against Aberdeen a fortnight ago.
