New signing Graham Dorrans scored twice as Rangers kicked off their Ladbrokes Premiership campaign with a 2-1 win at Motherwell on Sunday.
His early effort was cancelled out by Ben Heneghan just before half-time but the Scotland midfielder converted a 58th-minute penalty to seal the points.
In the day's later game, goals in either half from Anthony O'Connor and Miles Storey earned Aberdeen a 2-0 victory over Hamilton Accies at Pittodrie.
