League Cup finalists Dundee United and Celtic drew 1-1 in an incident-packed William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final at Tannadice on Sunday.
Paul Paton and Virgil van Dijk were sent off early on and Jackie McNamara's men took the lead through a Nadir Ciftci penalty in first-half stoppage time.
United were reduced to nine men just after the break when Paul Dixon handled but Leigh Griffiths saw his penalty saved by Radoslaw Cierzniak.
Griffiths headed the equaliser from a Stefan Johansen cross in 71 minutes but the home side held on for a replay, which is due to take place a week on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Hibernian saw off League 2 Berwick Rangers to reach the semi-finals with a comfortable 4-0 win at Easter Road.
Jason Cummings and Lewis Stevenson scored in the first half, with Sam Stanton and Liam Fontaine on target for Alan Stubbs' side after the break.
