Elgin striker Shane Sutherland scored five times as the Borough Briggs men cruised through to the semi-final stage of the North of Scotland Cup with an 8-1 success over Rothes at Mackessack Park on Wednesday night.
As well as Sutherland’s goals Dennis Wyness announced his return from injury with a goal with an own goal and a strike from skipper Mark Nicolson completing the scoring.
Barry Wilson’s side will face Forres Mechanics in the semi-finals with a date for that game still to be set.
