St Johnstone have agreed a two-year deal with Motherwell striker John Sutton that will see him move to McDiarmid Park next month.
The 31-year-old becomes the Perth club's fourth recruit of the summer, with Exeter City striker Graham Cummins, Hearts defender Brad Mckay and Aberdeen defender Joe Shaughnessy having already signed up at McDiarmid Park.
Sutton, whose former clubs include Raith Rovers, St Mirren, Wycombe Wanderers and Hearts, told the St Johnstone website: “I’m really happy. The club did really well last year so hopefully I can be part of something good going forward.
“The manager seemed very keen from the outset to bring me in. There were a couple of other teams that were interested but I was keen to come here.”
