Forfar have been given a boost with the news that captain Gavin Swankie has signed a new contract that will keep him at Station Park until 2018.
The 31-year-old former Arbroath, Dundee and St Johnstone forward still had 12 months left on his current deal but has agreed a two-year extension.
Forfar boss Dick Campbell, who has brought in Thomas O'Brien (Cowdenbeath) and Bryan Hodge (Stenhousemuir) this summer, is hoping to make further additions in the near future.
