Dundee United and Hamilton Accies drew 0-0 in the first leg of the Ladbrokes Premiership play-off final at Tannadice on Thursday night.
Ali Crawford and Dougie Imrie both had good chances for the visitors while Thomas Mikkelsen and Mark Durnan came close for United.
Ray McKinnon's men were reduced to 10 men with 13 minutes left when Simon Murray received a second yellow card for simulation but the club look set to appeal the decision.
The second leg takes place at the SuperSeal Stadium on Sunday, live on BT Sport at 3.00pm.
