Rangers clinched the Ladbrokes Championship title with four games to spare thanks to a 1-0 win over Dumbarton at Ibrox on Tuesday night.

James Tavernier scored the only goal early in the second half as Mark Warburton's side established an unassailable lead at the top of the table.

Rangers can now look forward to life in the Ladbrokes Premiership when the 2016/17 league season kicks off on the weekend of August 6.

In the night's other Championship match, Hibernian came from behind to beat Livingston 2-1 at Easter Road and move to within three points of Falkirk.

Jordan White gave Livi a first-half lead but Anthony Stokes equalised with 15 minutes left and Martin Boyle grabbed the winner three minutes later.
