Midfielder Iain Thomson has opted to return home to Lowland League Champions Spartans after a gap of 8 years.
Thomson played for the Ainslie Park side from 2003 to 2006 and helped them reach the last 16 of the Scottish Cup before embarking on a senior career that had stops at Berwick Rangers, Stenhousemuir and then East Stirlingshire.
Spartans chairman Craig Graham said “Iain was great when he was with us before and I had always hoped that he would come back at some point. We are very pleased that he has done so with a good part of his career still ahead of him.”
“Iain is a leader and we will need that in the new season.”
