Thomson returns to Easter Road

Hibernian have signed midfielder Kevin Thomson on a deal until the end of the season following his departure from Dundee earlier this month.

Hibernian have signed midfielder Kevin Thomson on a deal until the end of the season following his departure from Dundee earlier this month.

The 31-year-old, who will also be involved in coaching the development squads, is now in his third spell at Easter Road and could feature against St Mirren on Saturday.

The former Rangers and Middlesbrough player's arrival follows the signing of Celtic striker Anthony Stokes on loan until the summer.

Manager Alan Stubbs told the club website: "We're very happy to have Kevin join the squad. Both Kevin and Anthony have won medals, and that experience will be important in the run-in.

“He’ll also be a strong addition to Eddie May’s coaching staff – I’m sure the kids coming through will pick up a lot from Kevin.”
