Fourth-placed Stranraer continued their fine recent run with a 3-1 win over Ayr United at Stair Park. Jon Paul McGovern gave Ayr an early lead but Craig Malcolm scored twice against his former club and on-loan Danny Stoney completed the comeback for Stephen Aitken’s men.
Morton beat leaders Forfar 2-0 at Cappielow thanks to goals from Jon Scullion and Andy Barrowman. The visitors had Jim Paterson sent off late on.
A late Peterhead equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Dunfermline at Balmoor prevented the Pars from going top of the table. Faissal El-Bakhtaoui scored in the first half but Jamie Stevenson levelled with two minutes left.
