East Stirling defender Chris Townsley looks set for surgery on a groin problem that has been troubling him this season. The 29 year old has only featured in four games and head coach Craig Tully reckons that an operation is now required before the former Alloa and Berwick man can return to duty.
Tully said: “The injury has been niggling away at Chris for a few weeks so he is resting at the moment. We are waiting for confirmation however it looks like he will need an op before he is available again.”
