Haris Vuckic gave Kenny McDowall's men the lead after 77 minutes but Smith levelled four minutes from time as James Fowler's team edged a point clear of Falkirk in the Championship play-off race.

In League 1, Gary McDonald scored with three minutes left as Peterhead beat Forfar 3-2 at Balmoor. Gavin Swankie gave the visitors an early lead but Jamie Redman and Andy Rodgers turned things round before the break. Forfar had Stuart Malcolm red carded but looked to have earned a point through Danny Denholm, only for McDonald to win it for the Blue Toon.

Airdrieonians are up to fifth place in League 1 after beating Ayr United 1-0 at Somerset Park. The Honest Men had Adam Blakeman sent off midway through the first half and Marc Fitzpatrick grabbed the only goal after 52 minutes.

Elgin City leapfrogged Clyde into sixth place in League 2 with a 2-0 win at Borough Briggs. Darryl McHardy and Brian Cameron scored for Jim Weir's men and the Bully Wee had Steven McDougall sent off late on.
