Defender Keith Watson is hoping to help St Mirren climb the Ladbrokes Championship table after extending his contract until the summer.
The 26-year-old initially signed a short-term deal with the Buddies in August after leaving Dundee United at the end of the 2014/15 season.
Saints currently occupy the relegation play-off place as they prepare to face Morton in the Renfrewshire derby at Cappielow on Saturday.
Watson told the club website: "The boys have been enjoying training since the new gaffer (Alex Rae) came in - it has been a good standard. Hopefully we can take what we’re doing in training into games and start picking up results.”
