Weekend four to watch

The Scottish Cup quarter-finals take place this weekend but there are still plenty of important games in the SPFL - here are four to look out for.

The Scottish Cup quarter-finals take place this weekend but there are still plenty of important games in the SPFL - here are four to look out for.

Hamilton Accies v Motherwell - Ladbrokes Premiership
There's a Lanarkshire derby at New Douglas Park and it's a big game for both clubs, who are separated by just two points. An Accies win would lift them above Mark McGhee's men but victory for the visitors could see them move to within a point of the top six. It was 3-3 in their last meeting.

Falkirk v Alloa Athletic - Ladbrokes Championship
With Hibernian on Scottish Cup duty against holders Inverness Caley Thistle on Sunday, Falkirk will go second if they avoid defeat against bottom club Alloa. The Bairns have suffered just three league losses while the Wasps are eight points adrift of Livingston at the foot of the table.

Albion Rovers v Peterhead - Ladbrokes League 1
Peterhead haven't lost in League 1 since the end of October and saw off bottom club Brechin 4-1 at Balmoor last weekend but Rovers have done well in their first season back in the third tier and occupy the final play-off place. The Coatbridge club drew 1-1 with Stenhousemuir on Tuesday.

Elgin City v East Fife - Ladbrokes League 2
Elgin put their unbeaten home record on the line against an East Fife side who will go top if they become the first visiting team to win in the league at Borough Briggs this season. Gary Naysmith's men head north on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Queen's Park while Jim Weir's side beat bottom club East Stirlingshire 2-0 last weekend.
