@splstats looks at some of the numbers behind the weekend games, with the focus on Partick Thistle, Dundee, Hibernian, Cowdenbeath and Berwick.

4 Partick Thistle moved up to seventh in the Ladbrokes Premiership with a 1-0 victory over Ross County at Firhill. The Jags have now recorded four consecutive victories, and have suffered just one defeat in their last nine matches, having picked up only three points from their opening nine games. The last time the Jags won four consecutive top-flight matches was back in October 1977, a couple of months before current manager Alan Archibald was born.

3 Dundee climbed back up to sixth in the Ladbrokes Premiership thanks to a convincing 4-0 victory over Hamilton Accies at Dens Park. Kane Hemmings was the hero, netting a hat-trick within the first half hour to add to a strike from Greg Stewart.  Hemmings became the first Dark Blue to score a hat-trick in a top-flight match since Juan Sara in a 3-0 victory over Dundee United in September 2000. The trio of Hemmings, Rory Loy and Stewart have now scored 21 league goals this season, with just six divided between the rest of the squad.

17 Hibernian left it late to defeat Queen of the South 1-0 at Easter Road and move level on points with Rangers at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship table.  Alan Stubbs’ side are now unbeaten in 17 matches in all competitions, having picked up 15 wins and two draws since losing to Rangers at Ibrox in August. The Hibees are now just three matches short of equalling their record post-war unbeaten run of 20 games, set by Alex McLeish’s First Division winning-side back in 1998/99.

3 Cowdenbeath moved further clear of the relegation zone in Ladbrokes League 1 with a 3-0 victory over Airdrieonians at Central Park. Colin Nish’s side have now recorded three consecutive victories, having beaten Arbroath and Forfar in their previous two outings. This represents the Blue Brazil’s best winning streak since recording five in a row in August and September of 2012, a run which also included a 3-0 win over Airdrie. Cowden are unbeaten in their last eight matches at Central Park, picking up four wins and four draws.

7 Berwick Rangers ended a seven- game losing streak and moved off the bottom of Ladbrokes League 2 after beating East Stirlingshire 4-0 at Ochilview. Berwick have now recorded seven consecutive victories against the Shire, racking up an aggregate score of 21-1. The Borderers have recorded two four-goal victories in 2015, and both of them came against the Shire at Ochilview.
