@splstats looks at some of the numbers behind the weekend games:
4 Ross County's 1-0 victory over Partick Thistle at the Global Energy Stadium moved them clear in 10th place in the Premiership and closed the gap on Thistle to just four points. Jim McIntyre's side have now won four consecutive matches, which is all the more impressive when you consider that prior to this run they had only won twice in the league all season. They have now taken as many points (12) from their last four matches as they did from their opening 24 games.
5 Hibernian made it five wins in a row in all competitions by defeating Berwick Rangers 4-0 to move into their third Scottish Cup semi-final in four seasons. This is just the third time in the last decade that the Hibees have recorded five wins in a row – Tony Mowbray managed it in the autumn of 2005, as did Colin Calderwood in the spring of 2011. Hibs have now faced Berwick eight times in the Scottish Cup, and are yet to lose or even concede a goal.
10 Craig Sibbald scored the only goal of the game as Falkirk defeated Queen of the South 1-0 at Palmerston to set up a Scottish Cup semi-final against Hibs. Peter Houston's side are now unbeaten in 10 matches in all competitions – their best streak in over a decade, since John Hughes led his team to a 15-match run on their way to the 2004/05 First Division title. The Bairns have never lost a Scottish Cup tie at Palmerston – they've picked up two wins and two draws in four visits.
17 Brechin City's 0-0 draw at home to Airdrieonians kept their unbeaten run alive and moved them to within four points of Morton at the summit of League 1. Ray McKinnon's side are now unbeaten in 17 league matches, equalling a club record which was set by Doug Houston's side in 1980/81. Their last league defeat came almost five months ago, when Stranraer picked up a 2-1 win at Glebe Park.
8 Queen's Park defeated East Fife 1-0 at Hampden to remain just a point off the top of League 2. The Spiders have lost just one home league match since the start of September – that came against league leaders Albion Rovers back in November. Gus MacPherson's side are now unbeaten in eight home league matches, which is their best run since their promotion campaign of 2006/07. The Glasgow side are now unbeaten in their last 10 home matches against East Fife – their last defeat came back in December 2004 when U2's “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” topped the UK album charts.
