Jim Weir has left Elgin City to become the new manager of Forfar Athletic after nearly three years in charge at Borough Briggs.
The 48-year-old former Montrose, Arbroath and Brechin City boss replaces Gary Bollan, who recently parted company with the Station Park club.
Forfar are bottom of Ladbrokes League 1 and their next match is against Queen's Park at Hampden on Saturday October 14, with the Spiders above them only on goal difference.
Loons chairman Ken Stewart told the club website: "Jim was the unanimous choice of the Forfar directors following an extensive interviewing process and we are delighted he has accepted the challenge. We are appreciative of Elgin's co-operation in what was a difficult situation for them."
