Wilkie joins up at Lochee

Former Scotland player joins coaching staff at Lochee

Former Dundee, Dundee United and Scotland defender Lee Wilkie who left his post as assistant manager at Third Division Montrose at the end of last season has joined the coaching staff at junior side Lochee United.

The 33 year old 11 times capped former centre back left Links Park due to work and family commitments just 5 weeks ago, however he has agreed to work with the Bluebells new boss Stevie Leahy.

The Lochee manager who only replaced Paul Ritchie last week said: “Lee was very well known for his never say die attitude in his playing days and I am sure the playing squad at Thomson Park will be looking forward to working with such a character over the coming season.”
