Inverness CT are closing in on European football for the first time in their history after beating Dundee United 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Robbie Muirhead gave the visitors an early lead at a rain-lashed Tulloch Caledonian Stadium but Edward Ofere equalised in 38 minutes and Danny Williams fired home a superb winning goal for Caley Thistle just before half-time.

The result ended their nine-match winless streak in the Premiership and John Hughes' side are now seven points clear of United in third place.
