Ayr United boast the longest unbeaten record in Ladbrokes League 1, having gone nine games since their last defeat.
Ahead of their meeting with Stenhousemuir at Ochilview on Saturday, here are five things about the Honest Men's impressive season so far:
- Ian McCall's men suffered a 3-0 setback at Albion Rovers on the opening day but have won six and drawn three games since then and sit a point behind leaders Dunfermline.
- Ayr's top scorer in Ladbrokes League 1 is on-loan Motherwell striker Craig Moore, who has netted five league goals. Alan Forrest and Jordan Preston have both scored four times.
- Goalkeeper Greg Fleming and defender Paddy Boyle have started all 10 games in Ladbrokes League 1. Brian Gilmour has also featured in every match - nine starts and one substitute appearance.
- Ayr United have scored 15 goals in their five home games this season, beating Stenhousemuir 5-2 and Cowdenbeath 5-0 along the way.
- The Somerset Park side have scored two goals in each of their last four away league games - winning 2-1 at Stranraer, 2-0 at Dunfermline and 2-1 at Airdrie before drawing 2-2 at Forfar last weekend.
