Berwick Rangers manager Jimmy Crease has admitted that he did not want to let midfielder Paul Currie leave the club however, he could not stand in his way when Hamilton Accies offered him full time football.
Currie joined the New Douglas Park side on transfer deadline day after a four figure fee was agreed between the clubs after 2 years at Shielfield and Crease said, “I am not overly enamoured with the deal but we could not stand in the boy’s way. Paul leaving is a big blow for us as he grabbed a lot of goals for us from midfield but good luck to him. He made the step up here from Musselburgh and I hope that he makes a similar step up at Hamilton.”
“He will be a hard player to replace especially as the fee received from Hamilton will be used for other things.”
