East Fife boss Gary Naysmith has praised his new recruit from Hearts, goalkeeper Jack Hamilton, for playing with a dislocated finger on his debut as the Fifers won 2-1 at Forfar on Saturday.
The 20 year old only joined the Bayview side on-loan on Friday night and was thrown straight into the game at Station Park as regular number one Greg Paterson has suffered a rib injury.
Naysmith said: “I was delighted that we got Jack in and for him to play the whole game so well with a dislocated finger was fantastic. He is a kid who is well thought of at Hearts and beyond and hopefully he will enjoy the experience of being involved with the first team here.”
