Forfar Athletic have a five-point advantage at the top of Ladbrokes League 2 following a 5-1 victory against Annan Athletic on Tuesday night.
David Cox, Thomas O'Brien and Danny Denholm all scored in the first half at Station Park and Lewis Milne added two more after the break.
Aidan Smith claimed a consolation goal for Annan, who stay fifth in the table and are five points outside the play-offs.
